1. Preliminary Treatment

2. Primary Treatment
In primary treatment, wastewater is allowed to settle in large tanks, where heavier solids sink to the bottom and are removed as sludge, and lighter materials like oils and fats float to the surface and are skimmed off. This process reduces the load of organic matter and suspended solids before the water moves to secondary treatment.

3. Secondary Treatment
